Producing a global switchboard solution for Aker Solutions' Cisco and Ericsson platforms brought partners together.

Aker Solutions' area of expertise is as wide as its domain. Its 33,000 staff members in six continents provide engineering and construction solutions for the oil and gas, chemical, mining, metal and process industries. With the head office in Norway, over 10,000 miles from some of its global offices, the strength of its communication network is key to the success of the business. Aker Solutions previously used the MD 110 platform across the majority of the organization in Norway. However, the Cisco platform used at the head office was not compatible with the rest of the equipment. A switchboard solution was required to combine the two systems seamlessly and effectively.
